While we don't typically want to declare a game "must win" in September, this week's tilt against the Wisconsin Badgers is a "must win" for your Iowa Hawkeyes. Brian and Zach not only discuss the importance of the game this week but also look back at the UNI game, including to examine the offensive outburst and whether that effort is what we should expect to see going forward or if it was an FCS opponent mirage. You will not want to miss this Hawkeye4DT episode as we prepare for what we expect to be the de facto B1G West Championship Game.

After a fourth straight Cy-Hawk victory and a second straight home game against the Clones that saw your Hawkeyes give up a mere field goal, Brian and Zach are more than happy to heap praise on the defensive side of the ball; the offense is going to have to pick it up against FCS Northern Iowa this week to get itself back into the “second down” discussion. The disappointing beginning to the season has the offense firmly in “third down” territory currently. And with the Hawkeyes heading into their final non-conference game, Brian and Zach can’t help but look ahead to the first B1G game of the year with Wisconsin looming. The good news for Hawk fans is that the tilt with the Badgers will be under the lights at Kinnick Stadium – maybe just in time for some Kinnick magic.

Your 2018 Hawks are 1-0 with the Iowa State Cyclones the only thing standing between them and a 2-0 start. This week, Brian and Zach look back at Iowa's 33-7 win over the NIU Huskies and examine what went well, including good efforts from both the offensive and defensive lines, what didn't go as well (we are looking at you, passing game), and where they believe games may be won and lost this season. Brian and Zach also take a look at the Cyclones, who will be playing their first game of the 2018 season due to some inclement weather in Ames - guess the coaching staff will have to dust off some 2017 tape to see a pretty good Iowa State team that took Iowa to overtime and beat Oklahoma and TCU. Always a tough game for #hateweek.
